Essay Instructions: To Build a fire by Jack London

I need your typical format for a term paper and all that it includes with background information on Jack London and also critism of his work.

Thesis: In "To Build a Fire," Jack London's message to readers is that human beings are temporary and insignificant in the grand scheme of nature; while people may think they are lords over their environment, nature is a more powerful force that must be understood and respected if humans are to survive and prosper.

Introduction could include: London delivers this message by showing a nameless man dying alone and uncared for in the harsh unchanging wilderness. A dog, is the only other character in the story, is understanding and respectful of nature, so it survives. The man feels superior to nature, and this arrogance ends up getting him killed.
