Topic 1 please use this The first historical event that happened in France in the Twentieth Century is World War Two. The reason I chose this is because this war was about control of countries and the German armies wanted to take control of France. This is when the Treaty of Versailles was signed by the germans and the allies.

Topic 2 please use this The second historical event that happened in France in the Twentieth Century is the Fall of the Third Republic this topic was huge because a jewish officer was wrongly jailed for being a spy. This event lead to a lot of fears on all sides

Topic 3 please use this What I think was the greatest success achieved by France in the 20th century is the Constitution introduced in 1958 which built the Fifth Republic. This is France?s greatest achievement because it replaced the Fourth Republic and it created democracy in France. It was G?n?ral de Gaulle who inspired the new constitution. He wanted the people to vote and have a voice on who they wanted to become president. The Constitution gave people a voice.

Topic 4 please use this What I think the weaknesses of France is ?its 12.1% unemployment rate is one of the highest of any major industrial nation. Its plethoric public sector devours 50% of GDP compared with 30% in the U.S. and 40% in Britain. Despite the technical advances that put much of the population online via the Minitel system in the 1980s, France is now behind most other European nations in information technologies and Internet access.? But you must put this topic in its proper historical perspective by discussing how it came about and why it has not been resolved.

Also expected to include additional supportive citations from other types of sources such as newspapers or magazines, given the recent nature of the event.
