The ?actor-observer effect? is where we have a bias to explain our own behaviour in terms of
situational factors (externally) but to explain others' behaviour internally, or according to their
dispositions (Jones & Nisbett, 1972, as cited by Vaughan & Hogg, 2011).
For this assignment you need to write up the results of a study that tested for the actor-observer effect
in relation to the 'risky driving' of drivers under the age of 24 years. You need to write up the results
in the form of a laboratory report.
